Are you looking to immerse yourself in an enriching blend of creativity and technology? Look no further than MakerspaceCT's Cosplay Workshop!

This four-week program is designed to ignite passion and skill in young artists like you, combining the worlds of arts and technology to craft personalized cosplay creations.

From foamsmithing to sewing, our curriculum offers a hands-on experience like no other. With a small class size of only 10 students, you’ll receive personalized attention and guidance to ensure you walk away not only with your own unique creation but also with a newfound confidence in your artistic and technical skills.


THE STUDENTS

Young Adults aged 18-24. Must be Connecticut residents. Class size is limited to 10 students.

  • Costume Makers Meetup - Renn. Faire Edition

    Work Time from 10am-6pm, Swap Meet from 12pm-4pm

    Join us at MakerspaceCT for the Costume Makers Meetup - Renn. Fair Edition, happening from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Need a body double to start that project for this year's Halloween contest or Renn. Faire frolicking maybe this is the year to work on that new drag or burlesque outfit?

    This is the meet up for you! Ask questions of expert crafts people in one of the most creative spaces in Hartford, CT or just use the space to spread out supplies and regroup.

    This is a dedicated day for cosplayers, costume builders, and wearable art enthusiasts to finish, fine tune, or add last minute details to their creations ahead of upcoming events.

    For just $20 ($15 for members), you’ll have access to our sewing area and tools, along with support from experienced volunteers and staff throughout the day. Bring your own supplies and machines and we bring the community and space. 

    • Textile certified members may use the sewing machines and tools freely with the drop in fee.

    • Non certified participants are welcome and will receive help from staff and volunteers—no prior experience needed.

    BONUS OPPORTUNITY! Swap Meet from 12pm-4pm. From 12-4 there will also be a swap meet and costume clean out so bring old and unfinished cosplays, materials (wigs, fabric, foam, paint, books) and any piece you think will help someone in their cosplay journey.  

    Whether you’re racing the clock for a Renn. Faire or just want time and space to work alongside other makers, this is the perfect opportunity to push your project across the finish line.

    Bring your materials, we’ll provide the space, equipment, and creative community.
