Sessions include using factory digital tools with product design simulation to create simple 3D models. Building on a teamwork experience lends itself to the everyday encounters in today’s manufacturing workforce. Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing Technologies): The Additive curriculum is Manufacturing Basics and Additive Manufacturing. This curriculum was developed with the influence of experts from Collins Aerospace and General Dynamics, Electric Boat. Facilitation and training use the Manufacturing-X-Digital education system. Electronics and IoT (Internet of Things): The IoT curriculum is electronics and internet development. MakerspaceCT instructors are credentialed in electronics and IoT development. Instructional guidance and workshops are provided by industry professionals. Students explore pathways formed by EIT Digital’s Architecting Smart IoT Devices program.
