COVID-19 NOTICE: We are open with protocols in place to keep everyone healthy and safe. Operating Hours are — Tuesday: 12pm-9pm / Wednesday: 12pm-9pm / Thursday: 12pm-9pm / Friday: 12pm-10pm / Saturday: 10am-10pm / Sunday: 10am-6pm / Monday: CLOSED
In this online class, students will expand on what they learned in the Inkscape for the Laser Cutter class and learn how to optimize the cut paths. They will learn how to direct the laser to start with particular objects or paths, cut in a particular direction, or generally how to decrease travel time for the laser head. The first hour will be used to teach the basics of this optimization and the second hour will be used to work on students' specific projects, so it's recommended to come with something to share and work on!
Prerequisite: MakerspaceCT's Inkscape for the Laser Cutter or equivalent experience with Inkscape or another vector program, as well as experience with laser cutting.
To participate in this class you will need to install Inkscape on to your desktop computer. Click here to download.
