Course Overview

The MakerspaceCT OSHA 10-Hour General Safety course covers workplace hazards, employee rights, improving safety culture, and other key topics to prepare participants for job sites and safety on a manufacturing floor.

Important: The course takes place over two sessions. You must attend both sessions to receive your OSHA card.

Upon completion, all course participants will receive a certificate of completion via email, and receive their OSHA 10-Hour Card, typically within two weeks, mailed or to be picked up at MakerspaceCT.

About This Course

The OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Training course is part of the OSHA Outreach Training Program, a nationally recognized program designed to help entry-level workers identify, avoid, and prevent common workplace hazards. Grounded in OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry standards, this course provides a foundational overview of workplace safety topics including electrical hazards, walking and working surfaces, personal protective equipment, and hazard communication.  

Upon successfully completing the course and end-of-course survey, participants receive a temporary printable certificate immediately and an official OSHA 10 General Industry DOL card within two weeks. Whether you're new to a general industry workplace or fulfilling an employer requirement, this course gives you the safety foundation needed to work confidently and compliantly.
