Workshop SERIES IN 3D Design:
UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN BEST-IN-CLASS COMPUTER-AIDED INDUSTRIAL DESIGN SOFTWAREBuild new skills in a beginner-friendly environment! |
In these workshops, students will go over the basics of the CAD (computer-aided design) program NX, which they can use to create precise models that can be 3D printed or used for other modeling purposes. Students will learn about primitives (cubes, spheres, etc), sketches, various operations that can be applied to sketches (extrusion, revolution, etc). Through the basics, students will come to understand the interface that NX uses, and can grow their knowledge through specific project requirements. No CAD experience necessary. |

Ben Parker - Instructor | About The InstructorBen Parker is a working artist and freelance educator. He learned the 3D Design program NX from the CT Manufacturing Pipeline, and put the skills to work at Electric Boat, working on structures for submarines. He currently teaches the youth CAD class at MakerspaceCT, and is ever expanding his knowledge of 3D programs. |
