    In this online workshop, students will get familiar with the basic operations of Mastercam. They will get an overview of the Mastercam interface and will learn how to create geometry and toolpaths. The objective of this course is to give students the foundation on which to build the skills necessary to design toolpaths for MakerspaceCT's Haas CNC mill.


    • Understand basic Mastercam operations for drawing basic parts and toolpaths.
    • Draw and toolpath basic parts.
    • Learn to import files and tool path imported geometry.
    • Give students a basic understanding of using Mastercam to create toolpaths.

    Join us for an introduction to the Python programming language and the Thonny IDE, one of the simplest programming languages to read and write paired with a straightforward and easy-to-use development environment. Never written code (or Python code) before? This introduction will be a great place to get started. Python can be used for server-side web development, complex mathematics, database management, game development, and rapid prototyping.

    Continuing where Blender Modeling Basics left off, this class will cover the basics of Blender's image rendering capabilities, including an introduction to scene and object lighting, cameras and effects, layers, and more.

    Prerequisite: Modeling Basics with Blender 2.8 or familiarity with modeling with Blender 2.8.

    To participate in this class you will need to install Blender 2.82a on to your desktop computer. Click here to download.
