Non-Members: $79 / Members $59

Students will go over the basics of the CAD (computer-aided design) program NX, which they can use to create precise models that can be 3D printed or used for other modelling purposes. Students will learn about primitives (cubes, spheres, etc), sketches, various operations that can be applied to sketches (extrusion, revolution, etc). Through the basics, students will come to understand the interface that NX uses, and can grow their knowledge through specific project requirements. No CAD experience necessary.

Siemens NX software is a flexible and powerful integrated solution that helps you deliver better products faster and more efficiently. NX delivers the next generation of design, simulation, and manufacturing solutions that enable companies to realize the value of the digital twin.

Supporting every aspect of product development, from concept design through engineering and manufacturing, NX gives you an integrated toolset that coordinates disciplines, preserves data integrity and design intent, and streamlines the entire process.

*This workshop is on-site at MakerspaceCT with safety protocols including social distancing. Cloth face coverings are required.
