GENERAL ADMISSION: $49 / Members $39

In this one-hour session, students will go over intermediate functions of CAD (computer-aided design) program NX, which they can use to create precise models that can be 3D printed or used for other modeling purposes. Students will apply their own parametric CAD knowledge to NX, and if they already have the basics, will learn how to use curves to influence other curves to create solid features. Knowledge of at least one parametric CAD software (such as Fusion 360, Inventor, Solidworks) or having taken MakerspaceCT's course "Siemens NX Basics: Intro to Parametric CAD" is recommended.

ABOUT SIEMENS NX:

Siemens NX software is a flexible and powerful integrated solution that helps you deliver better products faster and more efficiently. NX delivers the next generation of design, simulation, and manufacturing solutions that enable companies to realize the value of the digital twin.

Supporting every aspect of product development, from concept design through engineering and manufacturing, NX gives you an integrated toolset that coordinates disciplines, preserves data integrity and design intent, and streamlines the entire process.

*This workshop is on-site at MakerspaceCT with safety protocols including social distancing. Cloth face coverings are required.

PREREQUISITE: Previous parametric CAD experience (such as Fusion 360, Inventor, Solidworks) or MakerspaceCT's "Siemens NX Basics: Intro to Parametric CAD."
