SUMMER STEM: Design It > Make It: 3D Printing and Product Design

What's It About:

Students will learn how to create 3D models using professional CAD software while learning to think like a product designer. They will get comfortable going through the 3D printing process by slicing a 3D model with CURA software and then operating 3D printers.

What's the take away:

No experience necessary to sign up for this program. Students will develop skills in "Design Thinking" and invent a product that solves a real-life problem. They'll gain knowledge in 3D Modeling using CAD software, create and print working parts. Also, they'll take a project from idea to a clean and presentable prototype.

Please note: Age range for this program is 13-17 only.

Join MakerspaceCT Educators for summer STEM programming in Virtual Reality Game Design & Beyond, 3D Printing and Product Design, Robotics with Arduino, and Raspberry Pi, Circuits, & Programming with DIY Laptops.

Our programs run each week JULY 5th - August 26, 2022, Monday thru Friday from 9:30am -3:30pm. (except for the week of July 4th, which runs Tuesday thru Saturday.
